Using Verbs – The Passive Voice
In a sentence there is a passive voice when its subject is not the person or thing carrying out the action of the verb.
In the UFOSAT constructed language (conlang or artificial language) the passive voice is expressed by preceding the verb with the ‘IPE’ particle.
For instance:
abo kini = I love
abo ipe kini = I am loved
eco kini = you love
eco ipe kini = you are loved
ajo kini = they love
ajo ipe kini = they are loved
idis dre kini = she loved
idis dre ipe (or ‘ipe dre’) kini = she was loved
idis zme kini = she will love
idis zme ipe (or ‘ipe zme’) kini le idid = she will be loved by him
