The Relative Pronoun ‘uno’

There is just one relative pronoun in UFOSAT, ‘uno’, which is invariable.

It can be used as a subject or object of the subordinate clause or after a preposition.

Examples:

  1. daro, uno kini ce abo, ste niqi = the person who loves me is arriving
  2. daro, ce uno abo kini, ste niqi = the person (whom) I love is arriving
  3. du celid, de uno abo ste ri, liji = the boys I am talking to are blonde
The group ‘ce uno’ can be contracted into the short form ‘co’.

Thus, the following sentences mean exactly the same:
  1. daro, ce uno abo kini, ste niqi = the person (whom) I love is arriving
  2. daro, co abo kini, ste niqi = the person (whom) I love is arriving
That is the end of the story as to relative pronouns in the USOFAT conlang.
